a creative creche space
This project was to redesign an existing space for a new purpose relevant to the surrounding environment. This was achieved by completing a full site history and analysis which included, identifying structural and non-structural elements, existing services and materials. A spatial design solution was created for this community hall to be redesigned as a children’s creche with a parent and carers lounge. Spatial planning, complete drafting package, rendered floorplans and elevations, and 3D rendered drawings were developed. Drawing inspiration from various precedent studies, this space was designed to evoke creativity through the use of playful colours, shapes, line direction and pattern, in order to break the barriers of childlike imagination.
